As you can see we were both decked out in our Twilight gear, my sweatshirt still cracks me up with "Ciao Volturi". Now I need it tome out on DVD so I can watch it everyday and I'm ready for Eclipse!!
This is a card that has been in the making for so long that it is no surprise to me that I am not happy with how it came out. I fell in love with this Tree DP and immediately grabbed the last polka dot sheet from my SU Prints pack and then the two of them sat to the side for weeks. I never got around to doing anything with it until Monday night and I just don't like the finished product. I wasn't going to post it but I haven't had any new cards up in a few days so against my better judgment here it is!
I started with a card base of Basic Black and Whisper White. Red Polka Dot DP from Prints Pack I and Christmas Tree DP. I used Paper Pretties Trim The Tree Sophia, I thought she was perfect with this DP. Red Velvet Ribbon and crystals.
Happy Sunday!!! So it was a miserable day yesterday and I think I watched about 5 movies while making this one card....what can I say I'm easily distracted.
I just adore this set, Penguin Love, by There She Goes. I used an old Mojo sketch, MOJO 111, for the layout. I started with a card base of Aqua Mist by PaperTrey and Whisper White by SU. I embossed the White with my CB Swiss Dots. My DP is Jolly By Golly by Cosmo Cricket, which Jodi gave me a few sheets of, thanks!!
My image was stamped in Tuxedo Black by Memento on White by PaperTrey. I masked the penguin in front of the igloo. I used a Shin Han marker to color the igloo and copics on the penguin, the hat and scarf. I also cut the hat and scarf and popped on top of the penguin. Used stickels in Crystal color for the glittery snow. My image was cut out with my circle nesstie and then I used the next size up in the nesstie and cute the layer behind but rather than use card stock I used the other side of the DP.
My sentiment was masked too, I just love the swirl, I thought it matched the scene and DP perfectly. I used my smaller circle nesstie to cut this out and used pewter brads on the side.
Haha....ok so I made this card for my younger brothers birthday which is tomorrow. My brother is very studious and serious and thinks that I am crazy because I am 32 years old and obsessed with Twilight which in his opinion is for 15 year old's, so I thought it would be funny to make him a birthday card with a Twilight theme...though he is serious he does have a huge sense of humor and this will crack him up.
I started with a card base of Dusty Durango and Whisper White, both by SU. My DP is Basic Grey Ambrosia and the layout is Mercy's sketch MTSC46- I can't believe I got two done in one week! My Ed "Edward" is one of the limited digital stamps by The Greeting Farm that were available last weekend. I colored him with copics and popped him out with an scalloped oval punch. I wanted to layer him but he only fit into the largest punch I had. I even broke out some hodge podge by SU for this one! The sentiment was typed on the computed and printed out cut and mounted. I must thank you Jodi for helping with the sentiment, I wanted something catchy and she rocked it for me!
How cute is my sweet Bella? I just love these special addition digital stamps by The Greeting Farm, they are just too cute- actually all the sprouts are too cute in my opinion!!
I used Mercy's sketch MTSC 245 for my layout, which believe it or not was a challenge for me only because of the scallop edge. I fight with my punch every single time I use, though I think I got it right this time since the scallops actually look round rather than pointed.
I started with a card base of Ripe Avocado by PaperTrey, I just got their assorted color pack and I must say it it heavenly! I layered Whisper White by SU and ran that through my Swiss Dots CB embossing folder. My center layer is Basic Grey Lemonade DP, I just got the 6x6 pack at the NY Stamp Show on Saturday and I was on the fence about getting it but I'm glad I did cause I do love the patterns.
My image is Camille "Bella" by The Greeting Farm and I stamped her in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored her with copics. Now I know that Edward thinks she looks best in blue but for some reason I was completely drawn to green when I went to color her coat, thus started the whole green color combo for the rest of the card. I cut her out with my circle nessties and layered on dimensionals and added the thin strip of pink satin ribbon.
I was torn on the sentiment but this one just seemed appropriate for her! The crystals were the final addition.
