CC242 Hugs & Kisses

This was a quick one that I did last night!!! It totally forgot that I had to make an Anniversary card for my cousins so I whipped this one up really quick. I also snuck in the SCS CC242!
My card base is Basic Black with a layer of Cameo Coral on top. Then I layered Basic Grey Urban Prairie DP on Sahara Sand. My image is Sealed with a Kiss by Paper Pretties, stamped in Tuxedo Black by Memento Ink and colored with Copics. I simply layered the image on basic black and pierced the corners. The final touches were the taffeta ribbon, black brads and stickels to her pearls, belt and hear on the envelope.
For a very quick job I think it came out cute. This image is so large that there really wasn't much else I could with the layout. My cousins loves my cards and loves getting them so it's always a pleasure putting in the effort and extra accessories for her-LOL!!

Tuesday Morning Sketch...Sisters & Chocloate

Yikes...I am so happy about this card I could just scream!! OK this is for the Tuesday Morning Sketch sponsored by There She Goes this week!!

This is my all time favorite, most loved card I have ever created!!! First I just love the sketch and am so proud of myself for actually being able to complete it..LOL!!! Second I just adore this set, How Sweet It Is by MFT, thanks Jodi for letting me borrow. Third, I am so happy with how the coloring came out. I'm still new with the Copics and it took me a while but my patience paid off!

My younger sister means the world to me and she is away at college in Washington DC and I just miss her terribly. I love this sentiment and it is so true, I just spent a few hours venting to her on the phone this past week and somehow when I'm done talking to her I just feel better!

I started with a card base of Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose. I took White card stock by PaperTrey and created my own DP by stamping Chocolate Chips with Chocolate Chip Ink (haha). My ribbon is Regal Rose Ribbon and the panels have Basic Grey Bittersweet DP.

I stamped image in Memento Ink Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with my Copics. I added some stickels to the center of the flowers on the chair. I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip Ink again and cute that shape with scissors and added the two pink jewels.

I can't WAIT to send this to my sister!

VSOCT09A Thinking of You

Happy Sunday!! What a beautiful sunny morning here on Long Island. We had torrential down pours here last night and my basement slightly flooded from the ground on the side of my house being over saturated and flooded....luckily this slight leak was no where near my stamping area so no stamp were harmed-LOL!! Unfortunatley then the power went out for the next 6 hours so I could continue to stamp, oh well.

I did manage to finish this card before mother nature struck. This was the first Verve Sketch for the October Release, VSOCT09A. It's definitely different for me. My colors are Crushed Curry, White, Soft Suede and Purely Pom. I embossed both my White layer and the Purely Pom circle with my CB Swiss Dots. My DP is Basic Grey Lemonade. Sentiment is from Warm Words.

I also FINALLY got the OttoLite so now I don't have to go crazy trying to get the best light for my pics, I can simply turn to my left open the light and click away!!!

True Friendship

Happy Tuesday night!!! I just spent a half hour trying to find a new layout for my blog, since the site that I took my last one from started flashing ads across my blog...how annoying!! Anyway I'm not thrilled with the new layout but for now it will do, I'm too tired to keep looking-LOL!!

I am so glad that I decided to stop at my stamp desk after throwing in the last load of laundry cause I just adore this card. I absolutely fell in love with this DP when I stumbled upon it at an impromptu stop at AC Moore on my way home from work on Friday, I really, really wish I could have gotten more of those cute birds in but the way they are lined up in the pattern I couldn't but I did get those two right over the bow.

This is an old MOJO sketch from March. It's a rather busy card compared to my usual style but I felt like getting a little crazy! I even took some inspiration from all you wonderful stampers and sponged just the cent of the circle by keeping the Nesstie frame after I embossed it.

Ok so I started with a card base of Basic Gray. I then layered it will Cool Caribbean, man i haven't used that one n a while, and embossed with my my Birds and Swirls CB folder. I layer my DP which is Basic Grey Pattern Paper/Urban Prairie. My ribbon is White Taffeta and Brads are Pewter. I used my scallop and circular Nessties and again kept the paper in the frame and sponged it with Cool Caribbean. I then stamped my sentiment, which is from Side By Side by There She Goes in Basic Grey and put two pink jewels under the words" Side". I used my White Gel pen and added dots in the scallops. The patterned paper layers and sentiment layer are all up on dimensionlas.

This cards just makes me happy!!

MTSC42 Birthday Wishes

Well it's Monday, the start of a new week and rather than focus on the annoying things going on in my life I will look at the positives...it's finally Sunny here in NY, Halloween is almost here and Fall is in full swing!!!

I actually made this card fairly quickly last night, but I'm still battleing with this cold so I was just too tired to sit at the computer and get it all uploaded. I needed a quick card for a close friends birthday which is this week and I never got around to Mercy's sketch from 2 weeks ago so I figured no time better than the present.

Mercy's sketch, MTSC42, was so cool, and since I finally have circle Nessties I no longer have to pass up sketches with any size circles-LOL!! My striped DP is Basic Grey Bittersweet/Praline and the colors of this card are all focused around that. I used Regal Rose as the card base and layered it with Very Vanilla and Creamy Caramel all by SU. I Used my scallop nesstie and circle nesstie for the sides and I also used my Swiss Dots CB Embossing folder. My center panel again is the Regal Rose and Very Vanilla with a corner knot in Sahara Sand Ribbon.

I stamped my flowers from Happy Harmony by SU in Regal Rose and the stems in Always Artichoke. I added some stickles to the buds from sparkle- I think birthday cards always need extra bling. My sentiment is from Warmest Regards, again by SU, and stamped in Creamy Caramel Ink. My image layer is up on dimensionals.

This was a fun and fast one, thanks again for another great sketch Mercy!!

MTSC43 Happy Anniversary

Well it's Saturday but I'm stuck inside with a cold so I'm getting a bit stir crazy-LOL!!

I needed an Anniversary card for my parents, they are celebrating 45 years on October 24th. I used Tuesdays Mercy sketch for the layout, MTSC43.

I started with a card base of Soft Suede and layered Very Vanilla on top. I then took a piece of Barely Banana and stamped my Tres Chic background by SU also in Barely Banana Ink. I just that Tres Chic, it is so whimsical to me.

Using my scalloped square punch and regular square punch I made my two panels, one out of Soft Suede again and the other with Cosmo Cricket Everafter DP. I really have to make another card with that DP as these little peaks do not give you a good look at how beautiful the paper really is. My image and sentiment are both from Sealed With a Kiss by Paper Pretties. I stamped the balloons in Tuxedo black Memento Ink and colored with copics. I also used some glossy accents, shocker I know, on the balloons for shine. Ribbon is Sahara Sand ribbon and pewter brads.

TSG24 Greetings

Yes it's Friday.... I made it!!! Hope you are all having a wonderful night. I'm feeling a little under the weather, sore throat and very tired! The Weather here in NY has been very Forksish the last few days, that meaning freezing COLD and very RAINY!
Anywhoo I made this card tonight, while listening to my New Moon Soundtrack, for the There She Goes Challenge, TSG24, Jodi's Sketch. I was so excited that the Trendsetter of the week at There She Goes was none other than my real life BFF Jodi!!!!

I love the sketch I'm just not sure if I love my card. I started out with card base of Chocolate Chip with a Whisper White layer on top. My next layer is Dusty Durango and I clear embossed leaves from my Mailbox Greetings set by PaperTrey. My crisscross panels are a layer of More Mustard and Basic Grey Indian Summer DP. When I saw that DP at the craft store last weekend I just had to have it!

I stamped my image on White Cardstock by PaperTrey with Tuxedo Black Ink by Memento. I colored it is with my Copics. The leaves were Rock N Rolled in a combo of Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red and More Mustard Ink to get an authentic fall foliage! I also added just a bit of stickels to the leaves to give sparkle. All stamps are from the Mailbox Greetings set by PaperTrey.

Ok hope you all have a wild and crazy Friday night, now I'm off to sleep!

MOJO108 Warm Winter Wishes

Ahhh Wednesday night....only two days of work left!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful evening! This is my card for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch MOJO108. I actually flipped the sketch so that my image could fit.

I got this new Basic Grey DP this past weekend and I knew that I was ready to leave the Halloween cards behind and move onto Winter-LOL!!

I used my Gliding By Sophia by Paper Pretties with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. I then colored her with Copics. I used Dazzling Diamonds by SU on her ear and hand muffs for sparkle. I used Glossy Accents on her skates for a shiny finish and stickels on "glide".

I layered both Sophia and the DP, which is Eskimo Kisses by Basic Grey on Rich Razzleberry. The Soft Sky layer was embossed with my swirls CB embossing folder and then layered on Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry. I snuck a strip of white taffeta ribbon in also but fought the urge to make a bow otherwise poor Sophia's face would be covered up.

My sentiment is from Mailbox Greetings by PaperTrey and I used my oval punches. I also added two jewels for extra bling.

C4C3 Frightfully Delightful

Another Sunday filled with laundry, football and stamping!!! I satrted this card last night and finished it today...latley it feel like its taking me long and longer to finish a card-LOL!!!

I really do just adore this Home Sweet Home & Halloween Additions by There She Goes. Yesterday I ventured off to a new stamping store with Jodi and I got some new Copics so I had even more fun coloring this.

The Layout is from a sketch on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog, this one was for sketch C4C3. I flipped the location of my brads and since I only had white brads I colored them with my Copic.

The image itself is entirely cut out and popped up on dimensionals...everything. I used stickels on the pot for what is boiling inside and glossy accents on the bottles. The DP is Creepy Crawly by SU, the Black Sheet has spiderwebs on it but they are very hard to see.

CC239, C4C4 Home Sweet Home

Happy Wendesday everyone...we are half way through the work week so hang on! Wow this card took me a long time to get it all organized and put together but in the end I am really very happy with how it came out.

I knew I wanted to use my Home Sweet Home set by There She Goes, I've been dieing to ink it up since I received it, and I knew it would look really nice with this weeks SCS CC239. I started last night by stamping the fire place and the flames/logs. I stamped the fire and logs, colored with my copics and cut it out. I then colored my firplace by using both a Grey Watercolor Pencil and my Shin Han Marker so that I could get the light to dark shading for the stones. I popped the fire up on dimensionals and place in the fire place. The fireplace is also cut out and popped up on dimensionals

Ok now the hard part.....which accessories to use. There are so many to choose from in this set! This is where I think I lost the most time-LOL- I kept changing the mantle pieces. I finally went back to the candles on either corner and then the vase of flowers. All were colored with copics. I used Glossy Accents on the candle holders and vase so that they look like glass and then on the hearts in the sentiment for texture. All y images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and my paper is Sahara Sand, Whisper White and SU Wintergreen DP. Ribbon is SU White Organza.

I just joined the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog today and while taking a look at recent posts I found this great sketch C4C4 by Cindy Haffner, I just knew that I had to give it a try and I thought it would be great for this card. Thanks for a great sketch!

MOJO107 Best Witches

Wow, I can't believe I have finally gotten to a Mojo sketch! This is for yesterdays MOJO107 Again I used my new stamps Spooktacular Silhouettes from There She Goes...I'm just having too much fun with them!

I thought this witch, stamped in Elegant Eggplant, would be perfect for the center layers, which I used both my Circle and Scallop Nessties. I created my own DP on the long center panel by stamping the silhouettes of the bats. I think my black background needs something besides the white brads, but I'm not sure what. Love this polka dot DP from K & Co, I think it's so funky! I was also having trouble finding a spot for a sentiment so I decided that this witch speaks for herself-LOL!!

SC248 Spooktacular Halloween

Happy Monday everyone!!! I'm very behind in posting, we were in Maryland this weekend for our Nephews 1st Birthday Party so I'm just getting the cards I started on Thursday night up. I still have some unfinished that need my attention-LOL!!

I received my There She Goes stamps that I won as the Random Chat Winner from the release party 2 weeks ago...of course they came last Thursday so in between packing and laundry and just trying to get ready to be away all weekend I wanted to play & play!

I made this card real quick for last weeks SCS Sketch Challenge. I am really making a dent in this Creepy Crawly DP from SU. My two Images are from the There She Goes set Spooktacular Silhouettes . I sponged the corners to blend it better against the DP. The ribbon is a black crimped ribbon that I've had for a while to.
